The Bowmen of Lytchett is know as a Target Archery Club, this mean that we shoot paper target similar to the one here, the other form of shooting is known as field archery were you shoot life sized mock-ups of animal around an outdoor area.

We are located at the Purbeck Sport Centre which we moved to in March 2014, we have moved locations several times over the last decade as a means of forwarding the club in the world of archery. The club was originally based in the sport fields around the Lytchett Minster School in the early sixties. We outgrew this location but found a new suitable field just down the road next to the St Peter Finger know as Lytchett Park, we settled here building a base with the help of another local sporting club so that we could meet the needs of our growing membership. A decade later we had again out grown our surroundings and moved to a new larger field at Holton Lee. We only settled in at Holton Lee for a few years as the area was not quite right for us.

We soon found the Purbeck Sport Centre which was near perfect for us, ample room for our growing membership and high quality facilities to go with such as a sports bar for refreshments and excellent disabled access. We are now living our next chapter so in the next decade check back here to find out what how it went.

Our Membership fees for the year 2018/19 are as follows:

Seniors £115
Seniors (18-24) £75.50
Juniors £50
We have introduced a new category, in line with Archery GB for Archers with a Disability. To qualify for this rate, Paul has advised us that Archery GB guidelines suggest that the disability has to affect your archery in some way.  The fee for this category is £70.
